Subject: Apologies, and next steps

Dear friends,
I am writing you because you offered to host a local meeting on February 5th or March 19th, and I feel I owe you an apology.
When we announced the first meetings in the middle of January, we were hoping that ten or twenty meetings would take place. Of course we would have wished for more, but we were trying to be realistic and we never expected to end up with over a hundred meetings in that first round.
This response, and the meetings themselves, were very exciting - so exciting that they overwhelmed us, and especially me, for a few weeks. The cumulative feedback you sent us was so strong and so supportive that, ironically, it stopped me in my tracks, and as a result we didnít provide you with as much support as we would have liked over the past month.
I am really sorry about this ñ the last thing I wanted was to disappoint you in any way ñ but the good news is is that the feedback you sent *was* wonderful, and it has made us see much more clearly what is needed and possible in so many communities, and what the next steps should be.
Thanks again for taking part in this process. Youíve made a huge difference already, and I canít thank you enough for working with us on this.
Take care, and all the best,
Ami Dar
